The Steelers today placed long-snapper Greg Warren on injured reserve and put wide receiver Limas Sweed on the reserve/non-football illness list.
Neither can play again this season.
Warren sustained a torn ACL in his left knee on the final play of Sunday's game against Green Bay at Heinz Field, after he snapped the ball for Jeff Reed's extra point that won the game, 37-36.
Sweed missed the game and the previous week with an undisclosed illness.
The Steelers will add two players this week to fill out their 53-man roster. Long-snapper Jared Retkofsky, who replaced Warren for the second half of last season after another ACL injury, visited the team yesterday. Retkofsky, who earned a Super Bowl ring with the team, was released in April after his shoulder was injured during a fall from his motorcycle.
