The Steelers will be without two starters and a reserve Sunday night when they play the Lions at Ford Field in Detroit.
Starting right tackle Marcus Gilbert will miss the game with a hamstring injury and starting defensive end Stephon Tuitt is out with a back injury. Also, reserve tight end Vance McDonald won’t play due to a knee injury he sustained in the Bengals game last week.
Rookie outside linebacker T.J. Watt injured his right ankle in practice Friday, but he is expected to play.
“I’m good to go,” Watt said after practice. “I feel great.”
He had an ace bandage on his injured ankle.
Chris Hubbard will take Gilbert’s place and Tyson Alualu will take Tuitt’s place. Xavier Grimble is expected to dress and play in two tight end sets on Sunday.
