Pirates left-hander Nik Turley was suspended 80 games on Saturday after testing positive for Ipamorelin, a performance-enhancing drug.
The Pirates claimed Turley off waivers from the Minnesota Twins in November. The suspension, which is without pay, begins at the start of the season.
Ipamorelin is a peptide that can increase the production of growth hormone.
