Point Park University to increase tuition next year

Students attending Point Park University will see a 2.9 percent increase in tuition in the coming school year.

The cost for full-time undergraduates in the schools of Arts and Sciences, Business and Communication will rise from $27,000 to $27,780 for the 2016-17 year.

The cost for students in the Conservatory of Performing Arts will go from $34,400 to $35,400.

“An education at Point Park University continues to be an excellent value," a university spokesman said in a news release. "Point Park University works with each student to ensure a quality affordable education and awards more than $80 million annually in financial aid."

Last year, the university increased tuition by 4.9 percent for COPA students and 3.9 percent for non-COPA students.
