The man killed while attempting a home invasion in Aliquippa Wednesday has been identified as 32-year-old Terrell Henson, according to Beaver County Coroner David Gabauer.
Henson was shot multiple times in the head and chest, Mr. Gabauer said Thursday.
Police believe Henson was shot by Anthony Farley as Henson attacked Mr. Farley’s sister around 1 a.m. at 147 Third Ave. Mr. Farley was wounded in the exchange of gunfire.
Mr. Farley, who is recovering from being shot, has not been charged.
Pennsylvania State Police say Mr. Farley, who lives next door to his sister, Brionna Hicks, responded to her screams during the attack. Ms. Hicks told police that Henson shot Mr. Farley, who then returned fire, killing Henson.
Henson was one of two men who attempted the home invasion, according to state police. The second man, believed to be 36-year-old Dana Penny, was charged with homicide in Henson’s death and remained on the run Thursday.
The two men wore shirts that read “DEA” and shouted “DEA surveillance” as they rushed at Ms. Hicks while she sat on her porch, according to the complaint.
Henson has no criminal record in Beaver County, according to court records, but in 2007 was convicted of carrying a firearm without a license in Allegheny County, a felony.
The case was immediately turned over to state police to lead the investigation, which Aliquippa acting police Chief Robert Sealock said will now be the department’s standard response to homicides and major incidents.
