Authorities have ruled as homicide the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old man who was found in an apartment in Braddock.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office issued a statement Sunday morning saying Leryal Matthews, a resident of Munhall, died as a result of gunshot wounds to the trunk.

Allegheny County Police are investigating.

The shooting happened at 1:12 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, at an apartment in the 500 block of Talbot Avenue.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
