Several injured in head-on crash in Beaver County

Multiple injuries were reported this afternoon in a two-vehicle, head-on crash in Chippewa, Beaver County emergency officials said.

Officials said the vehicles crashed on Route 51 at McKinley Road shortly after noon.

One person may have been ejected from a vehicle, officials said.

Two ambulances were called to the scene and a medical helicopter was on standby. Chippewa police also responded.

Traffic in the area was restricted, but officials said the road remained open.
