McDonald police seek help finding burglary suspects

McDonald police are asking for the public's help in identifying two men who burglarized a convenience store there.

The Midway Mini Mart at 101 Saint John St. in Midway was burglarized at 2:47 a.m. on Aug. 8. McDonald police were dispatched for an alarm activation and found that the front door of the store had been shattered by what appeared to be a concrete block.

Surveillance footage shows two white men entering the store, stealing Newport cigarettes and two, 2-liter bottles of Mountain Dew.

Police believe the suspects may be from the area. A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.

One of the suspects wore a black baseball cap, black hoodie, black shorts with white stripes and black tennis shoes; while the second wore a gray hoodie, blue jeans and black boots/shoes. The second suspect appeared to be wearing a type of body armor, police said.
