Two people were killed in an early-morning house fire in West Mifflin.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victims as Carl and Victoria Bajus, both 78 and of West Mifflin.
Allegheny County police said the fire was reported just before 4 a.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of Lebanon School Road. Upon arrival, first responders learned that two people were reportedly inside.
Ms. Bajus was removed from the home and pronounced dead at the scene.
A little before 1 p.m., the fire chief confirmed that Mr. Bajus, who had been unaccounted for, had been found dead.
Fire officials continue to investigate the cause of the blaze.
