Baldwin Borough woman's lawsuit against Bill Cosby moved to federal court

A lawsuit filed by a Baldwin Borough woman claiming that entertainer Bill Cosby defamed her, cast her in a false light and intentionally inflicted emotional distress has been moved to federal court from Allegheny County Common Pleas Court.

Renita Hill, 48, claimed that the star sporadically sexually abused her in the 1980s when she was an aspiring model and actress.

Her suit, filed in October, is based on allegations that Mr. Cosby, his wife and his lawyer portrayed the woman as a liar and extortionist, though they never mentioned her by name.

Mr. Cosby’s attorneys have not filed a response to the allegations.
