Emergency officials on Thursday morning responded to a fire at a home in Tarentum that left several injured, according to Allegheny County dispatch officials.

Authorities were sent to the 300 block of East Ninth Avenue at 9:40 a.m. for reports of heavy smoke coming from a two-story home, county dispatch said.

Several people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, county dispatch confirmed.

As of 10:45 a.m., fire officials were still on scene.
