A man was hospitalized in critical condition and another person was unaccounted for in an overnight three-alarm fire in Wilkinsburg.
The fire was reported shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday at a large, three-story commercial structure in the 900 block of Wood Street, according to Pittsburgh public safety officials.
A male resident of an upper-level apartment was taken to West Penn Hospital with “burn injuries”; he is in critical condition, officials said.
Ten other residents evacuated and were being assisted by the Red Cross.
The fire was under control by 3:30 a.m. but the blaze reignited around 5 a.m. Fire crews were still on the scene as of 6 a.m.
The county fire marshal’s office is investigating the cause.
