Officials identify woman whose body was found in river near Mon Wharf

A woman’s body was found in the Monongahela River on Thursday morning near the Mon Wharf, Pittsburgh police said.

River rescue arrived near the area of the Mon Wharf about 9:30 a.m. after a body was reported in the water.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office identified the woman on Friday as Pittsburgh resident Gloria Anderson, 38.

Pittsburgh police are investigating.
