Pittsburgh police have made an arrest in connection with remains of a man found Friday in Carrick.
John Robert Dickinson, 42, was charged Friday with homicide, abuse of a corpse, theft of a motor vehicle, access device fraud, tampering with physical evidence and possession of an instrument of crime.
Officers went to an address in the 1700 block of Parkfield Street, which sits on the border of Carrick and Overbrook, to investigate a missing person report when they came across the remains Friday afternoon, police said.
The victim, who has not been identified, appears to have suffered multiple stab wounds to the body and head, as well as blunt force trauma to the head.
Police said the homicide may have occurred between May 27 and 29.
Mr. Dickerson will be held in the Allegheny County Jail.
