The city homicide unit is investigating a shooting in Homewood North Sunday evening that left three people injured, one critically, at a house owned by an assistant Pittsburgh police chief, public safety officials said.
Allegheny County property records show Assistant Police Chief Maurita Bryant owns the home in the 7100 block of Kedron Street, where the shooting took place.
An initial call about shots fired came in around 5:50 p.m., a county emergency dispatch supervisor said.
A group of four teenagers were gathered on a porch when a heavily tinted black SUV pulled up and opened fire on them, injuring three. The three victims were taken to UPMC Presbyterian.
One of the victims, a 16-year-old girl, remains in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds to her head and upper body.
Another victim was shot multiple times in the leg and the third was grazed in the arm. Both are in good condition, Pittsburgh public safety spokeswoman Sonya Toler said.
