Spring, and perhaps reality television love, is apparently in the air at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort this week.
ABC affiliate WTAE is reporting the Farmington, Fayette County, property will be host to the love-struck cast of ABC's ratings hit, "The Bachelorette."
JoJo Fletcher, a real-estate developer, was runner-up on Ben Higgins' recently concluded run of "The Bachelor." As so often happens, a favorite from that show then becomes "The Bachelorette."
Filming reportedly is already underway in California. ABC has not been in contact with Pittsburgh Film Office director, Dawn Keezer said. But reports had been widely circulated, particularly on RealitySteve.com, for weeks that western Pennsylvania would be a location for part of the show.
Mr. Higgins created a ratings stir when he professed his love to both Ms. Fletcher and "The Bachelor" winner Lauren Bushnell, now his fiance.
"I never thought there was anything wrong with Ben saying 'I love you' to both of us, it just didn't work out for me," Ms. Fletcher, 25, of Dallas, Texas, recently told "E! News."
"I'm good friends with Lauren and I think Ben's amazing, but he just wasn't the right one for me. I know that I'm more than ready to find someone now."
The new season premieres May 23.
