Emmy Award-winning comedian, actor and author Louie Anderson returns to his stand-up roots Saturday for a one-night-only appearance at Carnegie of Homestead Music Hall.
As an actor, Mr. Anderson just received his third Primetime Emmy nomination, including a 2016 win, for channeling his mother as Christine in the FX comedy series “Baskets.” He also has two Daytime Emmy wins, for the animated series “Life With Louie.”
He has used his life’s ups and downs, as one of 11 children growing up in Minnesota, not only in his comedy routines but to become a best-selling author. His books include “Dear Dad — Letters From An Adult Child,” “Good-bye Jumbo … Hello Cruel World” and his latest installment on family, “The F Word, How To Survive Your Family.”
Tickets for the Drusky Entertainment event are $29-$45 (www.ticketfly.com) for the 8 p.m. show at Carnegie of Homestead Music Hall, 510 E. 10th Ave., Munhall.
