New frights are in store when you check in to ScareHouse's hotel of horrors

ScareHouse has announced new ways to terrify you when the Etna attraction opens its doors Sept. 15.

The “fear experts” at ScareHouse, ranked among the nation’s top haunted houses by Travel Channel and ABC News, is introducing new special effects for “Nocturnia 3-D,” described as “a twisted carnival of clowns and creatures,”and “The Sunset Lodge,” an all-new hotel attraction where guests who check in are met by “a swarm of savage serial killers.”

If demon possession in more your brand of scary, there also is "Infernal," in which cursed artifacts “from the darkest corners of the world” release a legion of demons to send you screaming into the night.

The haunted house’s intense attraction "The Basement” also returns, featuring effects involving electricity, adult content and violent situations that are for 18 or older only, and require guests to sign a waiver before entering.

ScareHouse, at 118 Locust St., is open Sept. 15 through Oct. 29. General admission starts at $15.99 and includes "The Sunset Lodge," "Nocturnia 3-D" and "Infernal"; or $39.999 to skip to the front of the line.
