Five For Fighting, the moniker for LA piano-rocker Vladimir John Ondrasik, will play Carnegie Lecture Hall with a string quartet on Friday. Kid Rock, one of the few musicians that has visited the Trump White House (with Ted Nugent and Sarah Palin), will play his first headlining show at the PPG Paints Arena. The self-proclaimed “redneck” rocker from Michigan is on the road serving up favorites like “All Summer Long" and "Bawitdaba,” with a side of politics in his faux-Senate speech. Pittsburgh rock legend Donnie Iris brings it on home with the Three-Peat show, the last in a series celebrating his 75th birthday, at the Palace Theatre, Greensburg, at 8 p.m. The other two sold out. There are tickets left at $19-$74; thepalacetheatre.org.
The Warhol Museum's Sound Series continues with Cornelius, aka Japanese multi-instrumentalist Keigo Oyamada, performing at the Carnegie Lecture Hall in Oakland. He’s known for his lush orchestral/pop arrangements, having scored the films "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" and "Ghost in the Shell Arise" and produced Beck, Bloc Party and MGMT. Two of Motown’s finest — The Temptations and The Four Tops — pair up for a show Sunday at Heinz Hall, bringing a long list of beloved hits.
