Steelers' Russell Wilson, Isaac Seumalo named Pro Bowl replacements

Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson and guard Isaac Seumalo were added to the AFC Pro Bowl roster on Tuesday as replacements.

Wilson and Patriots rookie Drake Maye replaced the Bills’ Josh Allen and the Ravens’ Lamar Jackson, while Seumalo replaced the Chiefs’ Trey Smith.

Wilson gets his 10th Pro Bowl nod, while Seumalo gets his first.

Wilson is the first Steelers quarterback to earn a Pro Bowl spot since Ben Roethlisberger in 2017. Wilson went 6-5 as a starter, throwing 16 touchdowns to five interceptions.

On the NFC side, Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield was named as a replacement for Commanders rookie Jayden Daniels.

Elsewhere, Bills running back James Cook and center Connor McGovern are heading to this week’s Pro Bowl in a replacement capacity, as is Seahawks receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Cook fills the spot left open by the Ravens’ Derrick Henry, who finished second in the NFL with an AFC-leading 1,921 yards rushing. Cook had 1,009 yards rushing with 16 touchdowns, tying Henry and the Lions’ Jahmyr Gibbs for the league lead.

McGovern replaces Chiefs center Creed Humphrey.

Smith-Njigba was named as a replacement for Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin.

The Pro Bowl Games run Thursday through Sunday in Orlando, Fla. The exhibition includes skills competitions and a flag football game.
