Steelers offensive lineman Isaac Seumalo is expected to miss about a month after a pectoral strain in Wednesday’s practice, sources told the Post-Gazette.
The Steelers must now decide whether to place Seumalo on injured reserve or keep him on the 53-man roster to begin the season.
If they place him on injured reserve, he would have to miss a minimum of four games before he could return.
Seumalo, who started every game last season, is entering the second year of a three-year deal worth $24 million.
Spencer Anderson worked as Seumalo’s backup in training camp and could be his replacement for the season opener in Atlanta on Sept. 8.
