Sources: Steelers offensive lineman Isaac Seumalo out for a month after a pectoral strain

Seumalo left Wednesday’s practice early and was seen working with trainers later in the afternoon

Steelers offensive lineman Isaac Seumalo is expected to miss about a month after a pectoral strain in Wednesday’s practice, sources told the Post-Gazette.

The Steelers must now decide whether to place Seumalo on injured reserve or keep him on the 53-man roster to begin the season.

If they place him on injured reserve, he would have to miss a minimum of four games before he could return.

Seumalo, who started every game last season, is entering the second year of a three-year deal worth $24 million.

The Steelers’ No. 1 one draft pick, offensive tackle Broderick Jones, right, works with offensive line coach Pat Meyer during the team’s rookie minicamp May 12.
