MINNEAPOLIS — John Leglue will make his first NFL start at left guard Thursday night against the Minnesota Vikings.
Leglue made his NFL debut last week when he entered the game against the Ravens in the first quarter after B.J. Finney was injured. Leglue is the fourth player to start at left guard for the Steelers this season. Starter Kevin Dotson and top backup, J.C. Hassenauer remain on injured reserve after being injured last month.
Cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon got his second consecutive start in place of Joe Haden, who is missing his fourth straight game.
In addition to Haden and Finney, the Steelers also deactivated quarterback Dwayne Haskins, defensive linemen Isaiah Buggs and Carlos Davis, linebacker Robert Spillane and running back Anthony McFarland.
Offensive linemen Rashaad Coward and Chaz Green are active after being elevated from the practice squad Thursday morning. Both players will revert to the practice squad after the game.
The Vikings will be without receiver Adam Thielen and left tackle Christian Darrisaw, but running back Dalvin Cook, who had been listed as questionable with a shoulder injury, will play.
