After a scary scene Sunday night, it appears Seahawks defensive lineman Darrell Taylor will be OK.
Taylor, who was carted off the field with 3:18 left in the fourth quarter of the Steelers’ 23-20 overtime win, had a “clear” CT scan and full movement of his extremities, according to Seattle coach Pete Carroll. Taylor flew back with the team, as well.
“So that’s a really good preliminary report,” Carroll said.
Taylor was injured during a tackle on Steelers running back Najee Harris, after which he rolled over on his back and stayed motionless. He was placed on a stretcher with his face mask off Sunday as players from both teams knelt in prayer.
Of course, the Steelers are no strangers to brutal injuries on prime-time television. In 2017, linebacker Ryan Shazier suffered a spinal injury during a “Monday Night Football” game against the Bengals that ended his playing career.
Shazier tweeted his support for Taylor, writing “God is strong he will help us overcome all obstacles.”
I pray Taylor is okay. God is strong he will help us over come all obstacles. ????????????????????????????????
