Survey says: You probably shouldn't date a Steelers fan

Half of Ravens supporters surveyed said they refuse to date someone who roots for Pittsburgh

There is no love lost between Steelers and Ravens fans. Literally.

A recent survey of 2,900 football fans by sports merchandise retailer Fanatics found that 50 percent of Baltimore supporters refuse to date someone who roots for the Steelers. That’s the highest percentage of revulsion associated with any rivalry in the NFL.

More than a few were willing to take that hate to the next level, too; 24 percent went so far as to say they’d give up sex for a year rather than date fans of rival teams including the Steelers.

Overall, Steelers fans were ranked among the least dateable in the NFL, behind only fans of the New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys.

The survey did not find any major relationship dealbreakers for Steelers supporters, although nearly 60 percent of them said they would rather date someone who shares their fandom than their religion.
