Former Steelers linebacker Spence signs with Titans

The reserve linebacker started 13 games for the Steelers over the past two seasons.

Former Steelers linebacker Sean Spence signed a one-year contract with the Tennessee Titans. Spence, the Steelers’ third-round pick in 2012, was an unrestricted free agent.

Spence started 13 games for the Steelers over the past two seasons, including four when Ryan Shazier was injured last season. The only reserve inside linebacker under contract is Vince Williams, who is entering the final year of his rookie contract.

Spence did not play in 2012 or 2013 after he sustained a gruesome knee injury in a preseason game during his rookie season. He joins former Steelers defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau with the Titans.
