Riverhounds SC settles for draw after goal in stoppage time by Indy Eleven

The Riverhounds SC’s game against the Indy Eleven started and ended painfully, resulting in a 1-1 draw on Saturday night at Michael A. Carroll Stadium in Indianapolis.

Pat Hogan was sent off in the fourth minute, later initially being shown a yellow. The Riverhounds (7-9-11) fought for 90 minutes, including a goal by captain Danny Griffin in the 73rd minute. However, Indy (10-9-6) struck at the death as Romario Williams struck a free kick into the top corner over the wall in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time to seal the draw.

The result means the Hounds will remain no more than three points back of the playoff positions in the Eastern Conference after today’s play with seven matches remaining.
