UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Rasheed Walker, a freshman offensive tackle at Penn State, faces two misdemeanor charges in connection with the theft of a bicycle.
The Centre Daily Times reported that, per Penn State police, Walker took a Trek 830 mountain bike, valued at about $150, from near the Lasch Football Building on Sept. 11 and abandoned it after returning to his residence.
The paper said Walker took the bike because he did not feel like walking back to his residence and has been charged with one count of theft by unlawful taking and another of receiving stolen property.
Walker, who is expected to be redshirted this season, has a preliminary hearing Oct. 31.
