UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — College football’s early signing period still is in its early hours, but Penn State’s day already has been made.
Harrisburg defensive end Micah Parsons, rated by Rivals as the No. 5 player in the country, recommitted to the Nittany Lions this morning.

Parsons, a five-star prospect, initially had pledged to Penn State, but de-committed and reopened his recruitment.
He narrowed the list of potential schools to attend to six before announcing this morning that he will go to Penn State.
Parsons is 6 feet 2, 244 pounds and has expressed interest in playing offense as well as defense.
He is expected to contend for playing time as a freshman.
