The Pirates announced the coaching staffs for their respective minor league clubs for the 2025 season on Friday morning. Below is a layout of each new staff, including notable changes.

Triple-A Indianapolis

  • Manager: Chris Truby
  • Hitting Coach: Eric Munson
  • Pitching Coach: Drew Benes
  • Pitching Coach: Cibney Bello
  • Bench Coach: Eric Patterson

Notes: Chris Truby becomes the Indians’ new manager after serving as the club’s bench coach in 2024. He replaces Miguel Perez, who was promoted to the Pirates’ bullpen coach this offseason. Eric Patterson fills Truby’s old role after holding the same position for the Cubs’ Triple-A affiliate. Munson and Benes return to the same roles they held last year, as does a large chunk of the support staff.

Double-A Altoona

  • Manager: Andy Fox

Fox, the 16th manager in club history, comes to Altoona from the Red Sox organization, where he spent last year as the major league club’s first base coach. Gary Green is the lone returner on the Curve’s coaching staff, with the rest of the surrounding cast all being newcomers.
