TORONTO — The Pirates on Thursday announced their promotional schedule for 2023 and also when single-game tickets will go on sale to the general public — 10 a.m. on Nov. 17. After starting the regular season on the road, the Pirates’ first game at PNC Park is Friday, April 7 against the Chicago White Sox at 4:12 p.m.
New 2023 promotions include expanding the Bucco Luau (June 30-July 2) and Yinzerpalooza (July 28-30) into full weekends. A David Bednar bobblehead will be part of the latter, while Oneil Cruz (June 3 vs. Diamondbacks) and Ke’Bryan Hayes (June 10 vs. Mets) also have bobblehead nights.

There will be six Zambelli fireworks displays, including the return of the Skyblast Fireworks Extravaganza on Saturday, Aug. 26. Those dates are April 8 (vs. White Sox), May 6 (vs. Blue Jays), June 9 (vs. Mets), July 15 (vs. Giants), Aug. 26 (vs. Cubs) and Sept. 30 (vs. Marlins). All except June 9 (Friday) are on Saturdays.
A Drone Skylight Show will occur May 19 vs. Diamondbacks, while there will be flashback Free Shirt Fridays on May 5 (1970s), June 2 (1980s) and July 14 (1990s), respectively.
Season ticket holders, corporate partners, PNC Park suite holders and group leaders — known as Pirates Insiders — can purchase single-game tickets starting Nov. 16. Bucs Flex Plans, which include 10 or 20 ticket vouchers redeemable for any game throughout the season, are on sale now.
