Pirates activate Doumit, recall Cruz, demote Diaz

PHILADELPHIA -- The Pirates today activated catcher Ryan Doumit and recalled utilityman Luis Cruz from Class AAA Indianapolis, while also optioning catcher Robinzon Diaz to Indianapolis.

Doumit, who missed 73 games after his most recent one April 19, and Cruz will be available to play tonight.
