After much anticipation, the Penguins unveiled their third jerseys Tuesday morning, which will be worn for the first time on Nov. 15.
In a press release, the Penguins said they’ll feature “a dynamic gold background with black sleeves and white and gold striping.
“It’s really nice,” said Kris Letang, who modeled the sweaters on social media. “I like it. I like the throwback.”
“They’re beautiful,” Dominik Simon added. “I think they’re really cool. I like them a lot.”
The third jerseys will be sold exclusively at PensGear stores for five days between Nov. 15-19.
It’s a blend of the 2017 Stadium Series jersey while also incorporating a few sweaters the Penguins wore in the 1980s.
“I loved the Stadium Series one,” Matt Cullen said. “It reminds me a lot of that. It’s cool. I’m a big fan of the gold. I really like it. I think it’s awesome.”
