Penguins to showcase NHL lineup Wednesday against Sabres

The Penguins will bring out the big boys for Wednesday's preseason game against the Buffalo Sabres at PPG Paints Arena.

In the roster the organization announced on Tuesday afternoon, the only Penguins regular not on it is Justin Schultz.

Matt Murray and Casey DeSmith are the two goalies. It's expected Murray will start.

That means Penguins fans will see Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Phil Kessel, Patric Hornqvist and Kris Letang (plus others) together in preseason action for the first time in 2018-19.

The only players with the club currently who are not suiting up against the Sabres, in addition to Schultz, include defensemen Zach Trotman and Chad Ruhwedel; forward Jean-Sebastien Dea; and goaltender Tristan Jarry.

Puck drop is 7 p.m. The game will be streamed locally at pittsburghpenguins.com, and you can listen at 105.9 The X.
