Ashur Carraha threw a 50-yard touchdown pass to Jermaine Corbett on the first play of the fourth quarter and Stonehill beat Duquesne, 24-20, to make its first Northeast Conference game a success Saturday in Easton, Mass.
The Skyhawks (3-0, 1-0) are in their first year transitioning from Division II to the FCS.
The Dukes (1-4, 1-1) took a 17-10 lead on Abdul Janneh’s 26-yard touchdown reception from Joe Mischler in the final minute of the first half. Carraha threw an 8-yard score to Will Diamantis to tie the game at 17 before the Dukes kicked a field goal and took a 20-17 lead late in the third quarter.
Anthony Lamonica’s interception with 1:21 left clinched the win.
Carraha threw for 149 yards with the two TDs and an interception and added a 30-yard rushing score. Corbett had 130 yards rushing and added 63 receiving.
Mischler and Darius Perrantes had a touchdown and an interception apiece for the Dukes. Janneh made two TD catches.

Delaware State 14, Robert Morris 9: The Colonials (0-4) closed out their nonconference schedule with a road loss to the Hornets (3-2).
Carnegie Mellon 10, Westminster (Pa.) 0: The No. 18 Tartans (5-0, 3-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference) kept the good times rolling with a tight win over the Titans (2-2, 1-1). Nolan Pitsenberger returned an interception 64 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter.
California (Pa.) 59, Clarion 14: Host Clarion (1-4, 0-2 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) got on the board first, but it wouldn’t score again until the third quarter, when the Vulcans (3-2, 2-0) led by 38 points. Sto-Rox graduate Davonte Williams carried the ball 12 times for 71 yards and a touchdown for Cal. Serra Catholic alum JaQuae Jackson hauled in seven catches for 170 yards and three scores. Jackson also scored on a 1-yard run.
Indiana (Pa.) 20, Slippery Rock 12: Indiana (4-0, 2-0 PSAC) got on the board in the second quarter, and the No. 8 Rock (4-1, 1-1) could not catch up. Apollo-Ridge graduate Duane Brown caught 10 balls for 140 yards and the second and third touchdowns for the Crimson Hawks. Central Valley graduate Jawon Hall caught both touchdowns for the Rock.
Washington & Jefferson 66, Allegheny 14: The Presidents (4-1, 2-1 PSAC) cruised to a homecoming win over the Gators (2-3, 1-2). Serra Catholic alum Raymond Holmes carried the ball seven times for 64 yards and a score in the balanced running attack. Backup quarterback Jacob Pugh, a Thomas Jefferson graduate, carried the ball into the end zone three times. Bentworth graduate Owen Petrisek also found the back of the end zone in the romp.
Gannon 21, Seton Hill 10: North Hills graduate Melvin Blanks carried the ball 23 times for 95 yards and a touchdown and also caught a touchdown to lead host Gannon (4-1, 2-0 PSAC) past the Griffins (0-5, 0-2). Neshannock graduate Jake McCormick connected with Mark Bails on a 51-yard touchdown pass for Seton Hill’s only touchdown of the game.
