Mackenzie Lehman is having another big season with the Liberty University lacrosse team. Lehman, a sophomore, is fourth in the ASUN Conference in goals with 37. She leads Liberty in goals with 49 points, including 12 assists, in 15 games. Lehman, a Peters Township graduate and the ASUN Freshman of the Year in 2021, scored six goals in a game earlier this season. Liberty is 10-7 overall, 4-1 in the conference and the No. 2 seed for the ASUN tournament that begins Thursday.
KYLER FEDKO

Kyler Fedko is off to a hot start for the Fort Myers (Fla.) Mighty Mussels, the Minnesota Twins Class A minor-league affiliate in the Florida State League. Fedko, a former standout at Vincentian in the WPIAL, was a 12th-round draft pick of the Twins last year out of the University of Connecticut. This season, he is third in the Florida State League in hitting with a .359 average in 18 games. He has 4 doubles, 3 triples, 2 home runs and 14 RBIs. The team had an 11-7 record heading into this week.
MIKE TURCONI
Blackhawk/Baseball
The Wake Forest baseball team has a 31-13 record and a WPIAL product is playing a major role in the team’s success. Mike Turconi, a Blackhawk High graduate and former Post-Gazette Player of the Year, is fourth in the ACC in runs scored with 53. He is tied for second in triples with four. A redshirt junior infielder, Turconi has a .327 batting average with 10 home runs and 48 RBIs. He had a grand slam and a solo home run in a game against Longwood this past Saturday.
