Zane Dudek isn’t carrying the ball quite as much as when he was a freshman All-American two years ago, but Dudek is still the leading rusher for Yale. Dudek, a junior who set WPIAL records at Armstrong High School, has rushed for 440 yards on 87 attempts in seven games for the Bulldogs, who are 6-1 overall, 3-1 in the Ivy League. Dudek rushed for 1,133 yards on 159 attempts two years ago.

For the third year in a row, William & Mary cross country runner Lauren Finikiotis made all-conference in the Colonial Athletic Association. Finikiotis, a junior from Oakland Catholic, finished 12th at the CAA championship meet Nov. 2. She helped William & Mary to a third-place finish in the team standings.  Finikiotis was named the CAA Rookie of the Year two years ago when she finished 10th at the championships.

Doug Altavilla threw for a season-high 312 yards for the Mercyhurst University football team in a victory against Gannon Nov. 2. Altavilla, a redshirt senior from Baldwin, is in his fourth season as Mercyhurst’s starting QB and has more than 8,000 career yards passing. This season, Altavilla has thrown for 1,633 yards and 13 touchdowns for a Mercyhurst team that has a 4-5 record.
