Boys basketball rankings: Brayden Reynolds leads Chartiers Valley to No. 3

Brayden Reynolds is off to one of the hottest starts of any player in the WPIAL, and he has led Chartiers Valley’s charge up the Post-Gazette rankings.

Reynolds, a senior guard, has scored more than 30 points in four consecutive games and is averaging 31.2 for the season. In Wednesday night’s 64-62 overtime victory against Lincoln Park, he scored 34 points and hit a 3-pointer just before the buzzer in overtime to give the Colts the win. He also went over 1,000 points for his career.

With Reynolds leading the way, Chartiers Valley is 5-0 and the No. 3 WPIAL Class 5A team in the latest Post-Gazette rankings. The Colts were not in the top five at the beginning of the season.
