Each member of Duquesne's 2016 men's basketball recruiting class -- guards Mike Lewis and Spencer Littleson, and forward Isiaha Mike -- has signed a National Letter of Intent with the Dukes, the school announced today.
Those signings, barring any transfers, will be Duquesne's final ones for this class.
“I’m excited about this class,” Dukes coach Jim Ferry said in a statement. “This group will really help us fill the void that will be left by this year’s senior class. Mike, Spencer and Isiaha are all great kids from great families who are playing for great basketball programs. All of them are winners, and each one of them have the ability to fill a role for us."
Mike, a 6-foot-7 Canadian prospect, gives the Dukes a rangy forward who has the ability to stretch opposing defenses and hit outside shots.
For Littleson, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Rochester Hills, Mich., and Lewis, a 6-foot-2 guard from perennial power Chaminade College Prep in St. Louis, there are clearly defined roles to fill. Littleson possesses a similar skill set to senior guard Micah Mason, while Lewis is more of a floor general in the mold of senior guard Derrick Colter.
Regarded by many in recruiting circles as a potential, under-the-radar star, Mike was rated as the 10th-best Canadian-born prospect while averaging 14.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game for Trinity International in Las Vegas last season.
Lewis -- a teammate of Jayson Tatum, a Duke commit rated as one of the nation's top players in the 2016 class -- averaged 11.5 points per game while shooting 48.7 percent from 3-point range.
As a junior last season, Littleson averaged 19.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.4 steals per game.
Duquesne's 2015-16 season begins tonight at home against Seton Hill.
