How does Antonio Brown's twerking celebration stack up to its celebrity competition?

The Steelers’ 38-16 season-opening win was full of highlights for the local football club, but none grabbed quite as much attention — and as many laughs — as Antonio Brown’s celebration after scoring a 26-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

That form. Such grace. Wow.

Such mastery of dance has inspired me to think about where Brown’s moves rank in the illustrious history of celebrities twerking. Here’s what I came up with:

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin speaks to the media during his weekly press conference Tuesday on the South Side.

5. One Direction

1D makes the cut because it’s just so unexpected. The band also gets points for doing it as a group. Brown ought to get some teammates on board next time.

4. Miley Cyrus

She’s just being Miley in this video of her twerking in a unicorn costume. So majestic.

Steelers defenders William Gay and James Harrison take down Redskins' Matt Jones in the third quarter Monday at FedEx Field.

3. Serena Williams

In an ad for Delta, the tennis superstar performs a dance routine in her dreams while snoozing on an airplane. She picks up some bonus points for being an athlete, as dancing is not an integral part of her day job.

2. Beyonce

It’s tough to beat out Queen Bey — in anything, much less a dance contest.

1. Hingle McCringleberry

I like to think Brown took inspiration from the fictional footballer from Comedy Central’s “Key & Peele,” starring Penn State graduate and funny guy Keegan-Michael Key (and also-funny guy Jordan Peele). McCringleberry wasn’t going with a textbook twerk, but his three pumps earned him an excessive celebration penalty, just like Brown received.
