Steelers playoff pep rally set for Friday

The Steelers will host a playoff pep rally from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Stage AE on the North Shore.

The team, which will host the Miami Dolphins in an AFC Wild Card game on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. at Heinz Field, announced the pep rally this morning.

Admission to the event is free; drink specials will be available throughout the evening.

Former Steelers running back Jerome Bettis and comedian and Pittsburgh native Billy Gardell will appear, and the Steeline Drumline will perform.

Doors for Sunday's Penguins-Lightning game will open at 3:30 p.m.

There also will be a fan Terrible Towel Twirl and the first 1,000 fans through the door on Friday will receive a free Antonio Brown gnome.
