Nutting matters

I bought a Bucco brick, thinking our children could show it to their children since it would be there as long as PNC Park existed. Now they’ll have to go search for it in a pile of rubble … along with 9,999 other fans.

Leadership starts at the top: Bob Nutting sets the standard, the vision, and the future direction of the team. Sadly, he couldn’t care less about the emotional drain he and his staff have had on the fan base.

Nutting purchased the Pirates for $92,000,000; it is now estimated to be worth a staggering $1,320,000,000! Please Bob, do the right thing for the fans, the region, and MLB: sell the team and take your (equally staggering) profit of $1,228,000,000.

The Pittsburgh Pirates (and the fans) deserve a true leader: one who can find the “sweet spot” between profit and putting a competitive team on the field while being sensitive to and appreciative of the fans.

Gene Collier: For Bob Nutting, ‘play ball!’ doesn’t mean play to win

Nutting matters anymore. We deserve better!
