New airport project needs to be reconsidered

Regarding the proposed modernization of Pittsburgh International Airport: Does Christina Cassotis, CEO of the Allegheny County Airport Authority, believe that our region may never grow or have a need for an expansion in the future (April 14, “Original Architect Critical of Airport Update”)?

Our beautiful airport has won national and international accolades. And who could forget the actress Sissy Spacek relating how thrilled she was to get all of her Christmas shopping done between flights?

I wholeheartedly agree with the architect Tasso Katselas that the new project is “unnecessary,” and a more thoughtful and conservative effort should be considered by the airport authority board members.
