One year later, KQV is still missed

One year later, KQV is still missed

The in-depth reports and quality banter are sorely missed by listeners

It’s almost a year now since KQV went off the air, and I have yet to find another station that fills the news void for me!

I miss P.J. Maloney’s soothing voice when my alarm goes off at 7 a.m. ,and I especially miss the informed professionalism evident when he interviewed city and county dignitaries. I miss the in-depth weather forecasts and sometimes-banter between the weatherman and news reporters.

I’m sorry, but I don’t really care to hear about pet care as my alarm goes off in the early morning. If I was interested in that and other lightweight topics, I would find programs devoted to those subjects at off-news times.

I even miss Carol Finelli’s traffic reports even though I’m now retired and don’t worry about rush hour traffic any longer. At least Carol talked at a pace I could comprehend and didn’t try to squeeze a 30-second report into 15 seconds! Sorry, but I just can’t listen that quickly at my age!

Please, please find me a radio station that gives me thorough, important news stories and weather reports each morning or bring back KQV. I still miss you.
