Cartoon is not funny

Cartoon is not funny

I was deeply disappointed to read Jeff Stahler’s cartoon on the editorial page on Sept. 27. Is it too much to expect that we teach our children to respect each other because it is the right thing to do and part of our shared humanity? Mr. Stahler’s cartoon sends the explicit message that men need to treat women with respect only in order to avoid possible litigation or public shaming. This “humor” is a dangerous slide to less enlightened times.
