The Kavanaugh nomination should not move forward

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell used partisan nonsense to steal a Supreme Court seat from Merrick Garland. If we were then “too close to an election,” almost a year out, then surely having a president named as an unindicted co-conspirator in a fetid swamp of federal white-collar crimes is enough to stop this nomination altogether.

An illegitimate president who used campaign finance violations to influence his election is not a person who should be appointing judges to lifetime seats.

Sen. Pat Toomey must do the right thing, for once, and refuse a hearing for Brett Kavanaugh, or he will share blame for the inevitable consequences.
