Pirates inflict more pain on grieving fans

Pirates inflict more pain on grieving fans

It’s not easy to dump someone. You know it will be prickly. You know there will be pain. You want it to be over quick. Kudos to Pirates management for picking the best time to dump on local baseball fans.

Goodbye to Andrew McCutchen and Gerrit Cole. Man did we lose a bet. Because Pittsburgh sports fans are not yet over the sting of an epic Steelers failure, Pirates management has chosen the best possible time to inflict fresh pain on our sports nerve. Yank the heart and soul from the team and do it while we are still smarting from the football wound. Genius.

Words like “inevitable” and “best option” fail to dissuade fans from observing obvious intent. I admire the gall, but regret the cowardice. Onward Pirates management!
