Two people were injured in a head-on collision on Liberty Bridge late Saturday night, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.

A woman heading inbound on the bridge attempted to change lanes, when a male driver swerved into the outbound lane and collided head-on with another vehicle, officials said. The man’s vehicle flipped on its side. 

Just before 11:30 p.m., first responders were dispatched to the scene, and the man was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

A female driver in the other vehicle was transported to the hospital in serious condition, officials said. 

The Liberty Bridge was closed for several hours, but has since reopened.
