'Bathtub' section of Parkway, eastbound Fort Duquesne Bridge ramp closed due to flooding

Access to Interstate 376 will be limited in Downtown Friday evening as floodwaters have overtaken some portions of the roadway.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation closed the “bathtub” section of I-376 westbound in Downtown Friday night due to flooding.

PennDOT also closed the ramp from the Fort Duquesne Bridge to I-376 eastbound.

Traffic will be detoured in both directions.

Westbound traffic will be detoured to the Grant Street exit. From there, motorists will turn left onto Fort Pitt Boulevard, then bear left onto the westbound I-376 ramp toward Fort Pitt Bridge/Airport.

Traffic from the Fort Duquesne Bridge will continue to the Fort Pitt Bridge to westbound I-376. From there, motorists will continue through the Fort Pitt Tunnel, take exit 69A toward Route 19/Banksville Road, and then keep left and loop back to eastbound I-376. After that, motorists will again travel through the Fort Pitt Tunnel and follow signs for I-376 eastbound.

The 10th Street Bypass, also in Downtown, closed earlier Friday because of flooding.
