A fly-by in the skies over Pittsburgh occurred when an airliner passed over a soaring bald eagle that had just lifted off from its nest in Hays Wednesday.
The eagle was likely on a hunting mission to feed its mate and two fuzzy voracious eaglets that hatched Saturday and Monday.
Ten eggs have hatched for the couple since they moved into the neighborhood on a steep hillside overlooking the Monongahela River in 2014, according to the National Audubon Society.
