Peters Township School District announced Sunday it is investigating student costume choices after allegations that its marching band members wore blackface during a Friday night performance at a football game against Woodland Hills.
The district’s spokeswoman Shelly Belcher said in a statement that the district is also reviewing the actions or inactions on behalf of district staff present at the game.
“Peters Township School District does not condone or permit discrimination,” Ms. Belcher said.
